Venue Information
The main conference venue for Sunday 26 to Tuesday 28 October is the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health, with Monday evening’s social event held a short walk from the Florey in Carlton (venue TBC).
Transport
The Florey is located on the University of Melbourne main campus in Parkville, only a few minutes from the centre of Melbourne. It has many public transport stops within walking distance. To get to the Florey from the city, the 19 tram headed to North Coburg is the fastest option (Stop 11; University of Melbourne/Royal Parade). We recommend staying in one of the many accommodation options in the city or surrounding the University main campus.
To take the tram or any public transport in Melbourne and Victoria, use a Myki card, available in Google Wallet or purchasable at any major train station and 7/11. Note that Apple Wallet does not support e-Myki and iPhone users will need to purchase a physical Myki.

Travel To and From the Airport
Melbourne CBD is a 30-minute drive from Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine). You can catch a taxi or Uber from the airport, or a book a SkyBus ticket, which stops at the Southern Cross train station in the CBD. For a list of options visit the Melbourne Airport website.

There are many accommodation options near the Florey Institute. We recommend searching for what suits your budget. We recommend staying near public transport, for example in the city, or in in areas surrounding the Florey (Carlton, Brunswick North Melbourne etc.).
Conference Social Events
There will be a welcome reception on Sunday 26 October at The Florey Institute, followed by a debate between scientists and comedians. The main social event will be a finger-food dinner at a pub in Carlton, a short walk from the conference venue (exact venue TBC).
